These vintage trade beads are made in Ethiopia using raw African silver!

The tassel symbolizes the roots of the lotus which dig down into the mud and push the flower up through the "waters of experience" to the sunlight which represents enlightenment!

I love to mix metals and layer this piece with other silver, brass and copper beads! They're beautiful paired with glass, wood, and gemstones as well! Or worn alone, it serves a great staple!
