bookshelf envy

To me, there isn't much else quite so intoxicating as a beautiful bookshelf. I have a folder full of pictures just like this one.... sometimes when I need a little pick-me-up I look through all the images and pine for my future home... I will have convinced my hunky man to build some lovely shelves for all my books and I'll be sitting in a big comfy chair drooling over the pages...

Today I was taking a closer look at this photo in particular and noticed the big Sherlock Holmes collection right at the end of the shelf... Not only has Sherlock Holmes been my all time favorite since I was a kid, but I actually own those very same books! They are a huge, thick set of three volumes with illustrations, annotations and extended content! My wonderful boyfriend got them for me a few Christmases back and they've been the most prized piece of my collection ever since.... I can't wait to have the perfect spot for them someday!
